Travis Kelce is licking his wounds after the Kansas City Chiefs lost out on the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy in the Super Bowl match-up against the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n

The tight end, 35, spoke to reporters after the Eagles emerged victorious with a 40-22 final score over the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

Admitting it was\u00a0a disappointing performance<\/a>\u00a0across the board, Kelce praised the Eagles on their win and said they bested the Chiefs in \u201call three phases\u201d of the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cHats off to the Eagles, man,\u201d the 3-time Super Bowl champ told reporters in the locker room after the game in a video\u00a0shared on X<\/a>. \u201cThey got after us, all three phases.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[We] couldn\u2019t get it going offensively,\u201d went on. \u201cI mean they just got after us on all three phases and then on top of that, you know, turnovers, penalties, playing behind the sticks on offense.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just couldn\u2019t find that spark,\u201d he added. \u201cWe\u00a0couldn\u2019t find that momentum.\u201d<\/p>\n

The visibly somber athlete admitted that he doesn\u2019t recall the Chiefs playing this poorly all season.<\/p>\n

Still, Kelce said that he and his team never threw in the towel and fought tooth and nail till the very end.<\/p>\n

Kelce finished the regular season with career lows in yardage (863) and touchdowns (three), and the athlete \u2014 who is now facing retirement questions \u2014 had zero receptions in the first half.<\/p>\n

Following the interview, Kelce was reunited with his family members and girlfriend Taylor Swift,\u00a0whom he has been dating since 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A downcast Kelce \u2014\u00a0dressed in \u201970s-inspired attire<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 made his way to the VIP suite following the Chiefs\u2019 loss, during which his pop superstar girlfriend\u00a0received a frosty reception from Eagles fans<\/a>\u00a0after appearing on the Jumbotron.<\/p>\n

After being caught off guard by the harsh reception to her presence, the singer turned to her pal and rapper Ice Spice in the VIP box.<\/p>\n
