The Chiefs are used to trailing in Super Bowls.<\/p>\n

But it may be getting late early.<\/p>\n

Kansas City\u2019s sideline featured \u201ca lot of emotion\u201d after falling in a 17-0 hole to the Eagles in the second quarter of Super Bowl 2025 after Patrick Mahomes threw a pick-six, per Fox sideline reporter Erin Andrews.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you can imagine, a lot of emotion on the Chiefs\u2019 sideline,\u201d Andrews said on the Fox broadcast. \u201cOf course, Travis Kelce with a couple of drops that he\u2019s had today. The sideline was pretty calm and cool when they were down 10-0, then, of course, the pick-six, and we\u2019re seeing different emotions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox then cut to Mahomes, who reportedly tried to calm down Kelce.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce was trying to talk to him on the sidelines and he said over and over, \u2018I got it. I got it,\u2019\u201d Andrews said. \u201cCreed Humphries screaming at the offensive line.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have shown resiliency during this dynasty era, falling behind by at least 10 points in each Super Bowl of the Mahomes era and rallying three times to win.<\/p>\n

Kansas City trailed 24-14 at halftime in Super Bowl 2023 before they ultimately triumphed, 38-35.<\/p>\n

As Andrews mentioned, the tone of this game seemed to shift after Mahomes\u2019 costly throw.<\/p>\n

While 10-0 is not a great spot, the Chiefs had the ball and a chance to make it a one-score game.<\/p>\n

Mahomes then made an ill-advised throw that Cooper DeJean picked off and took the house with 7:03 remaining in the half to put the Chiefs in a three-score hole.<\/p>\n

The star quarterback made another awful throw with less than two minutes remaining in the half when Zack Baun intercepted a pass over the middle to give the Eagles the ball inside the red zone.<\/p>\n
