It seems Super Bowl viewers are a little divided at what happened when the camera panned to Donald Trump during the national anthem.<\/p>\n

The 78-year-old is the first sitting\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0president to attend a\u00a0Super Bowl<\/a>\u00a0as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles at the New Orleans Superdome this evening (9 February).<\/p>\n

In the build-up to the\u00a0game<\/a>, Jon Batiste was belting out the American anthem, as the camera showed\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0take his seat in the stands alongside his daughter Ivanka.<\/p>\n

But while the\u00a0Grammy<\/a>-winning singer was performing, some fans thought the new\u00a0president<\/a>\u00a0was getting booed by people in the crowd.<\/p>\n

Jon Batiste sang the national anthem (Fox)<\/cite><\/div>\n

“Y\u2019all didn\u2019t boo at Donald Trump loud enough,” one person said over on X.<\/p>\n

A second penned: “That was pretty s**tty to show Trump during Jon Batiste singing the National Anthem, forced me and half of America to boo.”<\/p>\n

However, others couldn’t work out if it was a boo or a cheer.<\/p>\n

Someone else wrote: “Did they cheer or boo Trump? Difficult to tell.”<\/p>\n

As another echoed: “Did they boo or cheer Trump at the #SuperBowlLIX?”<\/p>\n

Donald Trump saluted as the national anthem was being sang (Fox)<\/cite><\/div>\n
