Rap megastar Kendrick Lamar<\/a><\/span>\u00a0will take the stage to perform at the\u00a0Super Bowl LIX<\/a><\/span>\u00a0halftime show on Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0battle for the title on the gridiron<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the\u00a0Grammy Award-winning<\/a><\/span>\u00a0rapper isn’t the only one to perform on Sunday night at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

Before the teams hit the field,\u00a0Jon Batiste<\/a>,\u00a0Trombone Shorty<\/a>, Lauren Daigle and\u00a0Ledisi<\/a><\/span>\u00a0are scheduled to perform. All pregame performers are Louisiana natives.<\/p>\n

The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation, who organize the massive football championship event, unveiled the 22-time Grammy Award-winning artist as this year’s performer with a video of him launching footballs toward the camera from a machine used in training.<\/p>\n
