After what has seemed like weeks of silence, the woman known better as the \u2018Hawk Tuah girl\u2019 has spoken out.<\/p>\n

Haliey Welch has pretty much\u00a0flown off the radar<\/a>\u00a0after becoming embroiled in a bit of a controversial\u00a0cryptocurrency scandal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In case you\u2019ve successfully wiped your brain of some of the more bizarre viral moments from last year, I\u2019m talking about the woman who got pretty big on the internet for that \u2018hawk tuah<\/a>\u2019 and\u00a0\u2018spit on that thang\u2019 video<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That little street interview clip saw her go on to receive so much publicity she could quit her job and start up the podcast,\u00a0Talk Tuah with Haliey Welch<\/em>.<\/p>\n

But towards the end of 2024, the capitalisation on her success saw her branching out into\u00a0crypto<\/a>, with the coin named ‘$HAWK token’.<\/p>\n

At first, it rocketed to a value of $490 million (\u00a3393 million) but then plummeted quickly with CoinTelegraph reporting it flopped by more than 90 percent. So those who had invested in the heavily promoted token collectively lost millions.<\/p>\n

Lawsuits were launched against the coin\u2019s creators and accusations were made of unlawfully promoting and selling cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n

Welch however only fronted the $HAWK token and had not been named as a defendant in the lawsuit. She did face backlash online though.<\/p>\n

And now she is back with\u00a0Talk Tuah<\/em>, as an episode with FaZe Clan\u2019s founder Banks has been \u2018leaked\u2019 on social media.<\/p>\n

As the star got pretty teary over it all, he promised her: “It\u2019s all gonna be OK.”<\/p>\n

Welch explained that the idea had been brought to her as a \u2018long-term coin\u2019 that would \u2018change the way everybody thinks about crypto\u2019.<\/p>\n
