Seemingly in preparation for tonight’s Grammy Awards, controversial rapper Kanye West has unfollowed\u00a0everyone\u00a0<\/em>on social media – except ‘frenemy’ Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n

That’s right – after years of agro between the chart-topping pair,\u00a0Kanye<\/a>\u00a0has altered his\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0logistics so that he’s only following the ‘Anti-Hero\u00a0singer.<\/a><\/p>\n

For those unfamiliar with the tensions between the hit-makers, their very public dispute kicked off almost 15 years ago, when\u00a0Taylor<\/a>\u00a0– who was then an up and coming country artist, aged just 19 – was honoured with an MTV Video Music Award for the Best Female Video.\u00a0Remind yourself of the moment below:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kanye presented the accolade, only to rudely interrupt the country star, who told viewers at home at Beyonc\u00e9 should have walked away with the prize.<\/p>\n

A very clearly flustered Taylor was subsequently left both red-faced and embarrassed, and has\u00a0since endured a public feud with the ‘Stronger’ rapper who has ceaselessly slammed her in his lyrics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In one of his music videos, he included a naked lookalike model of her, and recorded and released their phonecalls, causing Taylor to fear ‘a career death’.<\/p>\n

Speaking about their clash, Taylor, 34, told press last year: “Make no mistake, my career was taken away from me.”<\/p>\n

By the sounds of things, however, Kanye might not be ready to let go of whatever it is he has against the star, and fans of Taylor are fearing what his new social media cull might mean – especially ahead of this year’s music festivities.<\/p>\n

Taylor is up for several awards at this year’s ceremony (Jeff Kravitz\/FilmMagic)<\/cite><\/div>\n

Taylor will go head-to-head with Beyonc\u00e9 once again tonight – as well as the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Cardi B and Chappell Roan in several of the ‘big four’ categories.<\/p>\n

These include the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s expected that Queen Bey will walk away with an award or two this year, with country-esque album Cowboy Carter having been shortlisted for a staggering 11.<\/p>\n

Taylor, meanwhile, has the most Album of the Year wins at the\u00a0Grammy Awards<\/a>\u00a0under her belt already.<\/p>\n

As always, this year\u2019s ceremony will take place live from the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles, and see several other huge names battle it out for an accolade and a spot on the Grammys hall of fame.<\/p>\n

Representing the Brits across the pond in this year\u2019s leading categories are Charli XCX, Raye and The Beatles.<\/p>\n

Kanye has already turned up to this year’s ceremony with wife Bianca Censori (Jeff Kravitz\/FilmMagic)<\/cite><\/div>\n

Sabrina Carpenter has already won the first Grammy of 2025 in the Best Pop Solo Performance category for her feel-good hit, \u2018Espresso\u2019.<\/p>\n

And following a very Brat summer indeed, Charli XCX has bagged the likes of the Best Dance\/Pop Album, and Best Dance\/Pop Song for her lead single Von Dutch \u2013 both marking her first ever Grammys as a solo artist.<\/p>\n

Doing it for the boys, Kendrick Lamar has also been awaited three consecutive prizes already \u2013 Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Music Video.<\/p>\n

The festivities will also see several huge-name stars performing live \u2013 including Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Cynthia Erivo, Shaboozey, Shakira and Teddy Swims.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
