The Federal Aviation Administration tells TMZ … the crew of the Airbus A319 safely aborted takeoff from George Bush Intercontinental\/Houston Airport due to a reported engine issue around 8:35 AM on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The 104 passengers and 5 crew members deplaned on the runway through a combination of slides and stairs and were bused to the terminal.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
United Airlines tells TMZ … “During takeoff, United flight 1382 received an indication about one engine and halted the takeoff while still on the runway.” They went on to say there were no reported injuries.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
FOX 26\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>in Houston obtained video in which you see the wing of the plane on fire. You can hear a flight attendant ask for the passengers to remain seated. One passenger is overheard saying, “No, it’s on fire!”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Sunday’s scare comes just days after 6 people were killed in a plane crash in Philadelphia. The crash in Philly came 2 days after an American Eagle regional jet and an Army helicopter collided in Washington D.C., leaving 67 people dead.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
The FAA says they are now investigating the incident.<\/p>\n
