Kylian Mbappe, the French national team captain and new Real Madrid star, is set to become the majority shareholder of a European club.<\/p>\n

After being one of the most important signings in\u00a0Real Madrid\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>history,\u00a0Kylian Mbappe<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>will become the youngest soccer club owner in history after becoming a shareholder in a European club.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Le Parisien<\/em>, Mbappe, 25, will acquire\u00a080% of Caen\u2019s Stade Malherbe<\/strong>\u00a0through his investment fund Coalition Capital. The club is currently playing in France\u2019s\u00a0Ligue 2<\/strong>. The purchase, valued at around\u00a0\u20ac20 million, will make him one of the youngest club owners in Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pierre-Antoine Capton<\/strong>, the current President of the Supervisory Board,\u00a0will retain a 20% minority stake<\/strong>. Capton, founder of\u00a0Troisi\u00e8me Oeil Productions<\/em>\u00a0and Chairman of\u00a0Mediawan\u2019s Board of Directors<\/em>, had previously announced the departure of the American investment fund\u00a0Oaktree<\/em>\u00a0in 2020, stating they were there to save the club and now aimed to recoup their investment.<\/p>\n

Mbappe\u2019s investment in Stade Malherbe de Caen is particularly significant given his history with the club. At the age of 13,\u00a0he nearly signed with Caen but ultimately chose AS Monaco<\/strong>. Now, at 25, Mbappe\u2019s return to the club, albeit in a different capacity, marks a full-circle moment.<\/p>\n
