Donald Trump\u2019s first week back in the White House has been a very busy one – and it\u2019s not even over yet.<\/p>\n

The 47th\u00a0president<\/a>\u00a0of the United States has signed off several executive orders on various issues, ranging from public health to LGBTQ rights.<\/p>\n

Here is every Trump has done since he returned to the Oval Office.<\/p>\n

Immigration issues<\/strong><\/h2>\n

One of Trump\u2019s first executive orders designated Mexican drug cartels as a \u2018foreign terrorist organisation\u2019.<\/p>\n

Border crossings from\u00a0Mexico<\/a>\u00a0have been designated an \u2018invasion\u2019, with US military service members set to be sent down to act as immigration and border enforcement officers.<\/p>\n

The hope is that this will boost Trump\u2019s promised mass deportation program.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Refugee Admission program has been suspended, which will be reviewed every 90 days.<\/p>\n

Trump has also ordered for automatic citizenship to no longer be granted to those children of undocumented immigrants born on American soil.<\/p>\n

Immigration has long been an issue which galvanized support for Trump and the Republican Party, with their win in 2016 largely credited to Trump\u2019s promise to build a wall along the southern border.<\/p>\n

Climate change and the environment<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Under Trump, the US has been withdrawn from the Paris climate agreement, which had committed nations into pursuing policies that limited\u00a0carbon emissions.<\/a><\/p>\n

A Biden era policy intended to encourage production of electric vehicles has also been eliminated.<\/p>\n

Limits on fossil fuel extractions on federal lands, introduced under the Biden administration, have also been rolled back.<\/p>\n

Leaving the World Health Organisation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Trump also signed an order to withdraw the US from the World Health Organisation (WHO).<\/p>\n

He justified this move by claiming they \u2018mishandled\u2019 the\u00a0Covid<\/a>\u00a0pandemic.<\/p>\n

The order claims that the WHO \u2018continues to demand unfairly onerous payments from the United States, far out of proportion with other countries\u2019 assessed payments\u2019.<\/p>\n

Of China\u2019s contributions, the order added: \u201cChina, with a population of 1.4 billion, has 300 percent of the population of the United States, yet contributes nearly 90 percent less to the WHO.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump said the World Health Organisation had \u2018ripped off\u2019 the US.<\/p>\n

TikTok<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Trump has paused the US ban on\u00a0TikTok<\/a>\u00a0for 75 days – meaning it was only in effect for a day.<\/p>\n

American users had logged into the app, only to be told it ‘wasn’t available’.<\/p>\n

Gender and biological sex<\/strong><\/h2>\n

An\u00a0executive order<\/a>\u00a0went out declaring that the US only recognises \u2018two sexes, male and female\u2019, indicating they aren\u2019t \u2018changeable\u2019 but \u2018grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality\u2019.<\/p>\n

The order said: \u201cAgencies shall remove all statements, policies, regulations, forms, communications, or other internal and external messages that promote or otherwise inculcate gender ideology, and shall cease issuing such statements, policies, regulations, forms, communications or other messages.<\/p>\n

“Agency forms that require an individual\u2019s sex shall list male or female, and shall not request gender identity. Agencies shall take all necessary steps, as permitted by law, to end the Federal funding of gender ideology.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
