The age gap between Barron and Kai Trump has got people all types of confused.<\/p>\n

There has been so much news about the Trump family since\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0took to office on Monday 20 January, and now there\u2019s even more coming out of the woodwork.<\/p>\n

Namely, it\u2019s all about the age gap between Trump\u2019s youngest son,\u00a0Barron<\/a>\u00a0and his granddaughter, Kai.<\/p>\n

Since everyone was introduced to Kai during Trump\u2019s 2024\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0Presidential campaign run as she appeared in pictures alongside the rest of her family, and Barron became the face of his\u00a0inauguration<\/a>\u00a0after being applauded by the crowd – it\u2019s no surprise that people have been looking into the new president\u2019s family.<\/p>\n

Kai Trump and Barron are uncle and niece (YouTube\/@kaitrump)<\/cite><\/div>\n

However, they got a lot more than they bargained for when they found out just how small of an age gap there is between Barron, and his niece.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right, even though the pair look super young, Barron is in fact Kai\u2019s uncle, as he is Trump\u2019s son, and Kai is the daughter of Don Jr Trump (Barron\u2019s brother).<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all a bit confusing, but what social media users have found out is that Barron is 18, and Kai is 17, making for a super \u2018awkward\u2019 family line.<\/p>\n

X<\/a>\u00a0users began talking about the year age gap, and expressing their views on why it\u2019s so strange.<\/p>\n

One person wrote: \u201cI just realized that Barron Trump (18) is Kai Trump\u2019s (17) uncle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another stated: \u201cBarron Trump is Kai Trump\u2019s uncle. Think about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else commented: \u201cYou know it\u2019s messed up when Barron Trump is Kai Trump\u2019s uncle (they’re the same age).\u201d<\/p>\n

A fourth wrote: \u201cBarron Trump is Kai Trump’s uncle btw,\u201d while a fifth stated: \u201cBarron is Kai Trump’s Uncle… And they are basically the same age.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s safe to say that they are all baffled about the usual authority role here, as uncles tend to be a lot older than nieces, and therefore also have a bit more experience at life, knowledge and respect within the family.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not going to lie, but I wouldn\u2019t respect an uncle who is one year older than me.<\/p>\n

The pair are only a year apart in age (YouTube\/@kaitrump)<\/cite><\/div>\n

Anyhoo, apparently, the pair are pretty close and like to pass time together.<\/p>\n

Being similar aged, it\u2019s likely that they are interested in the same things.<\/p>\n

To show how they spend time together, Kai recently posted a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the inauguration day.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old shared that she and Barron used to play hide and seek inside the White House during Trump’s last presidency, stating: \u201cMe, Barron and Donny, we used to play hide and go seek… and also on the front lawn [we] would play soccer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, when people asked to see a vlog, she said: \u201cA soccer vlog of me and Barron? If you guys want to see that, let me know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Don Jr. said: \u201cI love this little smurf. I’m so proud of her. I jumped her yesterday and asked her if she wanted to speak in front of 25,000 people live and she absolutely crushed it.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven if, at her age, dads are not cool, I don’t care, I love her so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
