Football fans are teeing off on\u00a0Jerry Jones<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys<\/a>\u00a0over his surprise choice as the team\u2019s next head coach.<\/p>\n On Friday night, the Cowboys announced that\u00a0they have named<\/a>\u00a0Brian Schottenheimer their new head coach. Schottenheimer spent the last two seasons as the offensive coordinator under then-head coach\u00a0Mike McCarthy<\/a>, though the latter was the offensive play-caller.<\/p>\n Schottenheimer joined the Cowboys\u2019 coaching staff in 2022, starting out as a coaching analyst. Schottenheimer, who has nearly 30 years of football coaching experience, has never been a head coach before.<\/p>\n Needless to say, social media wasted no time ripping on Jerry Jones and the Cowboys for the curious decision to promote Schottenheimer to HC duties.<\/p>\n \u201cBeen a fan for 30 years.
