A body language expert has weighed in on the moments everyone is talking about from President Donald Trump\u2019s inauguration.<\/p>\n

Judi James decoded everything from Trump\u2019s \u2018alpha mode\u2019 arrival to St John\u2019s Church in Washington DC , to Jill Biden\u2019s subtle shun to Joe.<\/p>\n

James told Paddy Power Trump\u2019s arrival was a display of \u2018alpha mode at full throttle\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018The chest? Inflated and splayed like a cockerel in a power pose. The spine? Upright enough to make a Buckingham guard jealous,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

\u2018The expression? A lip-clamp and raised jaw combo that screamed, \u2018I\u2019m in charge. Again\u2019.\u2019<\/p>\n

Pointing to him and wife Melania watching a firework display on Sunday night, James said his whole persona screamed \u2018serious business\u2019.<\/p>\n

On Monday morning, while in St John\u2019s church as they kickstarted the inauguration ceremony, she said there a subtle \u2018power play\u2019 offered by Melania.<\/p>\n

James said: \u2018Trump held Melania\u2019s hand, but this time, it was Melania who made the first move, offering hers in a subtle \u2018power play.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Trump took it after a moment, suggesting an agreement between the two: her status and profile this time around were part of the show.<\/p>\n

\u2018Even their outfits were perfectly coordinated. It was a power couple display, but made it fashion.\u2019<\/p>\n

James said the Trumps gave \u2018a more pronounced display of unity\u2019 as they left the church.<\/p>\n

\u2018Trump lifts the clasp (their held hands) higher a few times, almost waving it as they walk towards their car, as though signaling both pride in his wife and a gentlemanly concern for her as they step off the curb.<\/p>\n

\u2018Trump continues his \u2018putting his wife first\u2019 performance as they reach the car, placing a guiding hand on her back,\u2019 she added.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s a gesture that blends care and choreography, completing their polished departure.\u2019<\/p>\n

Speaking about President Biden and his wife Jill, James noted there was an awkwardness in the way the couple posed for the cameras.<\/p>\n

\u2018While Joe, Kamala, and her husband cluster together to suggest unity, Jill creates a noticeable social gap between herself and the others \u2013 a gesture that hints at partial dissociation,\u2019 James said.<\/p>\n

\u2018When Joe extends his hand to Jill to lead her into the White House, she leans subtly back, her arms remaining firmly by her sides as if rejecting the gesture.<\/p>\n

\u2018Behind Joe\u2019s back, her facial expression briefly drops, offering a fleeting glimpse of tension.\u2019<\/p>\n

James said Biden appeared \u2018keen to display cheerful good spirits\u2019 so made adjustments to deflect focus from any awkwardness.<\/p>\n

\u2018When his wife declines to hold his hand, he shifts his focus to Kamala,\u2019 James said.<\/p>\n

\u2018But as he attempts to hold hers, she takes her husband\u2019s hand instead, leaving Joe to retreat and walk alongside Jill once more.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s a moment that seems to suggest he\u2019s searching for support, but no such reassurance appears to be forthcoming.\u2019<\/p>\n

James said outgoing vice president Harris also showed \u2018subtle signs of unease\u2019 through her body language.<\/p>\n

During the vice president handover, she \u2018rolled her shoulders slightly, as though squaring up to the moment, while her hands fidget at her sides, clasping and unclasping as she stands,\u2019 James said.<\/p>\n

\u2018Doug, in contrast, appears far more sociable, leaning into handshakes and making light contact with the Vances.\u2019<\/p>\n

James said Emhoff\u2019s \u2018friendly\u2019 demeanor contrasted sharply with Harris\u2019 \u2018fixed, almost rigid smile\u2019.<\/p>\n

Trump was sworn in as the 47th president on Monday, returning to power with a promise to end America\u2019s decline and to \u2018completely and totally reverse\u2019 the actions of the man who drove him from office four years ago.<\/p>\n

The incoming president overcame impeachments, criminal indictments and a pair of assassination attempts to win another term in the White House, and he planned to act swiftly after the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Dozens of executive orders were prepared for his signature to clamp down on border crossings, increase fossil fuel development and end diversity and inclusion programs across the federal government.<\/p>\n

The orders from the incoming Republican president will begin the process of unraveling the Democratic agenda of Joe Biden, whose term ended at noon, moments before Trump took the oath of office.<\/p>\n

Declaring that government faces a \u2018crisis of trust,\u2019 Trump said in his inaugural address that under his administration, \u2018our sovereignty will be reclaimed. Our safety will be restored. The scales of justice will be rebalanced.\u2019<\/p>\n

Trump claimed \u2018a mandate to completely and totally reverse a horrible betrayal,\u2019 promising to \u2018give the people back their faith, their wealth, their democracy and indeed their freedom.\u2019<\/p>\n
