The NFL is in cahoots with the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0to ensure pop star Taylor Swift is at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an excerpt of what the former FS1 host said:<\/p>\n

\u201cJosh Allen and the Bills are up against a 60-man juggernaut. That\u2019s 53 Chiefs and seven referees,\u201d Bayless said,\u00a0via Apple Podcasts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe memo will go out, just as it did last week. \u2018Make sure Taylor Swift makes it to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.\u2019 Without her, the NFL loses millions and millions of viewers who will tune in, mostly to see what she\u2019s wearing up in that Superdome luxury box.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo Mahomes, teetering though he might, must be propped up. Must be protected by the referees, just the way he was Saturday, at home against the Texans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bayless never provides any hard evidence to support his claim, only that quarterback Patrick Mahomes had the worst season of his career and still somehow managed to post an NFL-best 15-2 regular season record, tied with the Detroit Lions.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the only conspiracy theory floating around. After Kansas City\u2019s 23-14 win over the\u00a0Houston Texans<\/a>\u00a0in the AFC divisional round, many thought the fix was in when Chiefs punter Matt Araiza ran out of bounds in the endzone for a safety.<\/p>\n

The play cut Kansas City\u2019s lead from 23-12, an 11-point lead, to 23-14, a 9-point lead. The Chiefs\u2019 spread closed at 9.5.<\/p>\n

Bayless\u2019s theory is less serious than intentionally point-shaving, but it\u2019s an indicator that Kansas City\u2019s dominance over the last three years has turned NFL fans off.<\/p>\n
