Comedian Bill Maher suggested it is time\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/span>\u00a0grew up as he slammed her songs and predicted\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/span>\u00a0will dump her.<\/p>\n

The elderly comic offered his analysis while chatting to\u00a023-year-old Hailey Welch<\/span>, better known as the \u2018Hawk Tuah Girl, on the Monday edition of his Club Random podcast.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s gonna dump her, though. You know that,\u2019 he told his young guest.<\/p>\n

\u2018With her, it\u2019s like the Gatorade at the\u00a0Super Bowl<\/span>, you know you\u2019re gonna get dumped,\u2019 he added. \u2018You just don\u2019t know when.\u2019<\/p>\n

Bill Maher claimed Taylor Swift is going to be \u2018dumped like the Gatorade at Super Bowl\u2019 as he chatted with Hawk Tuah Girl Hailey Welch on the Monday edition of his Club Random podcast<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The superstar singer and her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend were first seen in public together in September last year and she has been a regular spectator at his games<\/p>\n

Swift, 34, has been dating the\u00a0Kansas<\/span>\u00a0City Chiefs tight end for nearly a year, speaking publicly about their relationship for the first time in an interview with Time in December 2023.<\/p>\n

The Fearless singer appeared in the stands at more than a dozen Chiefs games last season, cheering him to victory in February\u2019s Super bowl.<\/p>\n

But her fangirl support did not impress the 68-year-old talk show host, and he predicted it would not impress her boyfriend either.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m sure she\u2019s a lovely person, but the whole thing with the football player,\u2019 he grumbled.<\/p>\n

\u2018I just felt like 35 was a little old to be like, \u2018My boyfriend\u2019s a football player and I wear his jersey to the game with his number on it!\u2019 Right? I mean, come on.\u2019<\/p>\n

Welch shot to fame over the summer after she used the term \u2018hawk tuah\u2019 to describe spitting as part of a sexual act during an on-street interview that went viral, and she protested that Swift should do\u00a0\u2018whatever makes her happy\u2019<\/span>.<\/p>\n

But she speculated that the superstar might stay true to form and write another smash hit album about her relationship.<\/p>\n

The breakdown of her relationship with singer songwriter John Mayer produced one of her biggest hits in 2010\u2019s Dear John, and she has gone on to pen reminiscences about exes including\u00a0Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas and Harry Styles<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u2018It won\u2019t be \u2018f*** John Mayer\u2019 no more, it will be \u2018f*** Travis,\u2019 Welch joked.<\/p>\n

\u2018That was a long time ago,\u2019 Maher replied, \u2018Is she still singing about that?\u2019<\/p>\n

And he said writing about one\u2019s personal life is \u2018very tacky\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018You can\u2019t control what the muse dictates to you. She\u2019s a songwriter. I can\u2019t fault her for that,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n

\u2018But it does seem like such a recurrent theme. At some point, you just wanna say, maybe you should write a song called \u2018Maybe It\u2019s Me\u2019.\u2019<\/p>\n

The liberal comedian was full of praise for Swift\u2019s album \u2018The Tortured Poets Department\u2019 when it was released in April, describing it as\u00a0\u2018Something for the Swifties, and something for the not-so-Swiftie\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Everybody loves it,\u2019 he raved. \u2018The tweens love it, the teens love it, the millennials love it.\u2019<\/p>\n

And he warned Republicans that the Grammy award winning singer could cost them November\u2019s presidential election if she endorses the Democrats as she did in 2020.<\/p>\n

Maher said it was \u2018very tacky\u2019 for Swift to document her personal life in her songs<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u2018This is a person who could literally swing the election,\u2019 he said on his Real Time podcast in February.<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t know what that says about this country, but I would just say to the MAGA people, \u2018You should be very careful attacking her because this is someone who transcends parties.\u2019<\/p>\n

The singer sparked a surge in voter registration after encouraging her 272 million followers on Instagram Stories to get involved in September last year.<\/p>\n

\u2018I mean, this is a country girl, right?\u2019 Maher reflected.<\/p>\n

\u2018 She started out as a country artist. She\u2019s a white girl from Pennsylvania, I think, grew up on a farm, right? Never had a Black boyfriend.<\/p>\n

\u2018You know, if \u2018MAGA\u2019 is full of racists, then they got to like that.<\/p>\n

\u2018Her voters perhaps are not registered at all, and she doesn\u2019t have to say who she\u2019s voting for. All she has to say is get registered. They know who she\u2019s voting for.\u2019<\/p>\n
