People are only just realising why Melania Trump\u2019s inauguration outfit looks so familiar.<\/p>\n

Earlier this afternoon (20 January), the incoming First Lady of the United States stepped out alongside\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0and their son, Barron, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lafayette Square, Washington D.C.<\/p>\n

Melania<\/a>\u00a0was seen wearing a black and white ensemble – but\u00a0it was her statement hat which really caught the attention of people online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rushing to\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0to share their thoughts on the get-up, one X user who wasn’t a fan of the\u00a0hat<\/a>\u00a0hit out: “I don\u2019t like the hat. You don’t wear a hat in a church. I\u2019m old fashioned.”<\/p>\n

Others, however, rushed in to defend Melania for the accessory choice with a second writing: “Melania\u2019s hat! [fire emoji].”<\/p>\n

“That hat!” exclaimed a third, while a fourth fan beamed: “Love Melania’s hat! Why can’t we all wear hats & gloves again? So stylish.”<\/p>\n

Another gushed: “Living for Melania\u2019s hat moment.”<\/p>\n

“Melania\u2019s 1920s style Gatsby hat is smoke show,” echoed a final X user.<\/p>\n

The hat has caused an even bigger stir online – given that people are comparing it to none other than\u00a0Beyonc\u00e9’s<\/a>\u00a0iconic ‘Formation’ outfit.<\/p>\n

The hit track appeared on the singer’s 2016\u00a0Lemonade<\/em>\u00a0album with the accompanying\u00a0music video<\/a>\u00a0showing Bey rocking a similar wide-brim black hat which\u00a0also covered a significant amount of her face<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After making the comparison, one fan dubbed Melania as being in ‘her\u00a0Lemonade<\/em>\u00a0era’.<\/p>\n

“Ok ladies now let’s get in formation,” chirped a second quoting one of the song’s lyrics, while a third likewise quipped: “YALL HATERS CORNY WITH THAT ILLUMINATI MESS.”<\/p>\n

Previously reflecting on the First Lady role, Melania\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0Fox: “I feel I was always me the first time as well, I just feel that people didn’t accept me maybe.<\/p>\n

“Maybe some people, they see me as just a wife of the president, but I’m standing on my own two feet, independent. I have my own thoughts.”<\/p>\n
