Donald Trump’s attempt to plant a kiss on wife Melania’s face upon his arrival at the Capitol Rotunda today for his inauguration was utterly thwarted by an aspect of her clothing.<\/p>\n

Trump was the final\u00a0politician<\/a>\u00a0to be welcomed into the hall today (20 January) following previous\u00a0presidents<\/a>, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, George W. and Laura Bush, and Barack Obama.<\/p>\n

Outgoing president\u00a0Joe Biden<\/a>\u00a0and former VP\u00a0Kamala Harris<\/a>\u00a0were amongst the final attendees to receive their welcome into the festivities.<\/p>\n

Trump’s family – including his\u00a0five children<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Melania<\/a>\u00a0– were already awaiting him at the time, after which\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0approached them.<\/p>\n

The President-elect then attempted to kiss\u00a0his wife<\/a>, only to be obstructed by her wide-brimmed hat in a disaster that viewers couldn’t help but comment on.<\/p>\n
