Simone Biles (aka The G.O.A.T. of gymnastics) has earned many titles throughout her career. Not only does she have an 11-medal Olympic haul and 30 World Championship medals to her name, but she also received a major honor from Sports Illustrated.<\/p>\n

Despite her successful career, the 27-year-old athlete still finds time to recognize her parents.<\/p>\n

Today, Biles re-shared a photo on her Instagram Story in honor of her parents, Ronald and Nellie, who are celebrating their 48th anniversary. The Olympian also wrote a heartfelt message where she gushed over their exemplary marriage.<\/p>\n

The gymnast wrote, \u201cHappy 48th anniversary. My parents are so cute.\u201d<\/p>\n

The original post was shared on Nellie\u2019s official account, and it featured a selfie of the happy couple and a heartfelt message that read: \u201cHAPPY 48th ANNIVERSARY Ron. blessed that we can share this and every morning still starts with I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biles previously discussed her close-knit relationship with her parents, who are actually her grandparents. The couple adopted the gymnast at age six when she was placed in foster care.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing separated from my biological mom, being placed in foster care before I officially got adopted by my grandparents, it just set me up for a better route at life,\u201d she said during an episode of Simone Vs. Herself.<\/p>\n

Biles added, \u201cI feel like I wouldn\u2019t be where I am unless that turning point happened. I would still be Simone Biles, probably not Simone Biles that everybody else knows, the world knows.<\/p>\n

But I also believe everything happens for a reason and I\u2019m forever grateful for that because I definitely got a second shot at life.\u201d<\/p>\n
