Kid Rock called out former first lady Michelle Obama for\u00a0snubbing President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s inauguration<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 just days before the ceremony.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe seems a little angry,\u201d Rock\u00a0said\u00a0<\/a>on \u201cJesse Watters Primetime\u201d on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Rock, who is a vocal Trump supporter, recalled when he was tasked with performing at the Youth Inaugural Ball hours after former President Barack Obama was first sworn into office in 2009.<\/p>\n

The five-time Grammy nominee, 54, agreed to the gig at the Hilton Washington alongside rapper Kanye West and rock band Fall Out Boy out of \u201crespect for the president.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI would kindly remind her that years back when Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him. But they asked me to play the inauguration. And I played it and I went,\u201d the rocker said. \u201cI had a good time. I went out of respect for the president so I would kindly remind Michelle about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kid Rock criticized Michelle Obama\u2019s plan to skip the inauguration.<\/p>\n

Obama, 61, will skip the 60th presidential inauguration at the Capitol after\u00a0she failed to show up at former President Jimmy Carter\u2019s funeral\u00a0<\/a>last week in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n

\u201cFormer President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration,\u201d the Office of Barack and Michelle Obama said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The former first lady\u2019s team did not provide a reason for her expected absence.<\/p>\n

The Obamas attended Trump\u2019s first inauguration in 2017.<\/p>\n

President Biden and first lady Dr. Jill Biden are expected to attend the historic event next week.<\/p>\n

Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton and their wives, Laura Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, are also due to attend Trump\u2019s swearing-in ceremony.<\/p>\n

On Thursday,\u00a0sources told Page Six<\/a>\u00a0that Trump\u2019s team was \u201chaving a good laugh\u201d over Michelle Obama\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey didn\u2019t expect her to come anyway,\u201d a source says of\u00a0those involved in planning the inaugural festivities.<\/p>\n

Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, took the stage on the final night of the Republican National Convention in July to play his hit song \u201cAmerican Bad A\u2013\u201d before Trump accepted the GOP presidential nomination.<\/p>\n

However, Rock said he \u201crespectfully\u201d declined an invitation to \u201cplay a couple of songs\u201d at Trump\u2019s inauguration ceremony \u2014 but offered his help in planning.<\/p>\n

He teased that he created something \u201cpretty special\u201d for the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve spent so much time on this,\u201d he said. \u201cI put something together. I put it all down on paper to the minute. Everything choreographed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey loved it. Of course we get into it and we\u2019re going through the due diligence to get it done and \u2014 God bless them \u2014 here comes the Secret Service.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re like, yeah, we can\u2019t light off fireworks and have big pyrotechnics. I\u2019m not sure we could have strippers on poles,\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n
