Dallas Cowboys fans have grown accustomed to owner\u00a0Jerry Jones<\/a>\u00a0sabotaging his team with mind-numbing mistakes, but the way he handled the departure of\u00a0Mike McCarthy<\/a>\u00a0was truly another level of incompetence.<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t until eight days after the regular season concluded that Jerry Jones finally decided to part ways with McCarthy, who finished out his five-year contract. The Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints have already been linked to McCarthy, now free to speak with other teams.<\/p>\n Speaking on \u201cThe Pat McAfee Show\u201d today, ESPN\u2019s\u00a0Adam Schefter<\/a>\u00a0explained how Jones hurt the Cowboys by\u00a0prolonging the decision<\/a>\u00a0to finally move on from McCarthy, citing that he\u2019s now missed out on several hot HC candidates:<\/p>\n \u201cMike Vrabel\u2026I think Dallas might have been an option for him if he were a coaching free agent\u2026but he\u2019s not\u2026And there\u2019s one fewer option, one fewer coach, for the Dallas Cowboys to think about.
