Melania Trump said in an interview Monday that she is excited for another four years in the White House -\u2014 and is ready to be a key adviser to her husband, President-elect Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

The incoming first lady told Fox News\u2019 \u201cFox & Friends\u201d that she is more confident now she understands \u201cthe rules\u201d and \u201cprocess\u201d of being in the White House \u2014 and that she will help her husband as they \u201chave a lot to do to put the country back in shape.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first time was challenging, we didn\u2019t have much of the information. The information was withheld from us by the previous administration,\u201d she said of Trump\u2019s predecessor before his first term, President Barack Obama.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>\u201cBut this time I have everything. I have the plans, I already packed, I have selected the furniture. So it\u2019s a very different transition this time, the second time around,\u201d she said confidently.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it will be an exciting four years. We have a lot to do to put the country back in shape,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The first lady made clear that she is not deterred by people underestimating her abilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just feel that people didn\u2019t accept me. Maybe they didn\u2019t understand me the way maybe they do now. And I didn\u2019t have much support,\u201d she said of her first term.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe some people see me as just a wife of the president, but I\u2019m standing on my own two feet, independent. I have my own thoughts, I have my own, \u2018yes\u2019 and \u2018no,’\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

The 54-year-old conceded that while she doesn\u2019t always agree with what her husband \u201cis saying or doing\u201d she is committed to helping out his administration when she can.<\/p>\n

\u201cI give him my advice and sometimes he listens, and sometimes he doesn\u2019t, but that\u2019s OK,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
