Jennifer Garner revealed in an\u00a0emotional interview<\/a>\u00a0with MSNBC’s Katy Tur that she lost a dear friend in the devastating California wildfires. As the fires continue to claim lives and destroy homes, Garner has stepped up to help, partnering with a renowned chef to support impacted communities.<\/p>\n

“I did lose a friend who did not get out in time,” the 52-year-old actress\u00a0said<\/a>. “It’s just \u2014 my heart bleeds for my friends. I mean, I can think of 100 families, and there are 5,000 homes lost.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Struggling with grief and gratitude, Garner reflected on her safety amid the devastation. “I feel almost guilty walking through my house,” she\u00a0admitted<\/a>. “Just, you know, what can I do? How can I help? What can I offer? What do I have to offer with these hands and these walls and the safety that I have?”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Reflecting on her loss, she\u00a0said<\/a>, “I’m looking at the chimney of somebody that I loved. […] It’s awful \u2014 kind of unimaginable.” Garner expressed her determination to support wildfire survivors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sykes, a\u00a0former child star<\/a>, was born on July 29, 1992, in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He tragically lost his life on January 8, in Malibu, California.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

His mother, Shelley Sykes,\u00a0announced<\/a>\u00a0the heartbreaking news on X, “It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of my beautiful son @Rorysykes to the Malibu fires yesterday. I’m totally heart broken.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She\u00a0described<\/a>\u00a0her son as “a true humanitarian” and recounted his inspiring journey of overcoming blindness and cerebral palsy through surgeries and therapies. She\u00a0added<\/a>, “Despite the pain, he still enthused about traveling the world with me from Africa to Antarctica.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
