On Friday, the actress, 52, partnered with World Central Kitchen and Chef Jos\u00e9 to feed\u00a0firefighters and evacuees<\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0Los Angeles wildfires<\/a>\u00a0at the Jack in the Box in Altadena.<\/p>\n

Garner was pictured chatting with other volunteers and stopped to take a selfie with those who came out to the food truck to receive a meal.<\/p>\n

Dressed casually for the occasion in jeans, a zip-up sweatshirt and baseball cap, the \u201c13 Going on 30\u201d star carried a box of food from the truck out to those waiting.<\/p>\n

The mom-of-three resides in Brentwood, the neighborhood next to the Pacific Palisades, which has been largely destroyed by the Palisades fire.<\/p>\n

She says her house has been unaffected by the blaze, but with wind conditions subject to turn at any time and the fire largely uncontained, the actress isn\u2019t out of the clear.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Friday, during\u00a0an interview on MSNBC<\/a>, Garner\u00a0revealed she has lost a friend<\/a>\u00a0in the blaze.<\/p>\n

The \u201cAlias\u201d alum told anchor Katy Tur that a friend she knew through church had passed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did lose a friend, and for our church, it\u2019s really tender so I don\u2019t feel like we should talk about it yet,\u201d Garner told the journalist, choking up. \u201cI did lose a friend. She didn\u2019t get out in time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The death toll from the Pacific Palisades and Eaton fires the past few days officially rose to 11 on Saturday and has now collectively scorched over 35,000 acres and counting.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart bleeds for my friends,\u201d Garner continued. \u201cI mean, I can think of 100 families, and there are 5,000 homes lost. I can \u2014 without even [thinking] \u2014 I could just write out a list of 100 friends who lost their homes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel almost guilty walking through my house.\u201d<\/p>\n

She noted, \u201cYou know, what can I do? How can I help? What can I offer? What do I have to offer with these hands and these walls and the safety that I have?\u201d<\/p>\n

Garner spoke with MSNBC in the midst of volunteering with Andr\u00e9s, 55, telling Tur, 41, that the chef\u2019 serving those affected by the fires \u201cis an incredible thing to watch.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWorld Central Kitchen and Chef Jos\u00e9 just come in and [said], \u2018We\u2019ve got you. We\u2019ve got this handled. Don\u2019t worry.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve lived in and around the Palisades for 25 years, so I just think all of us, we want to get our hands into working, somehow, to be helpful,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd because of my work with Save The Children, we have a relationship with the chef, and I was able to just say, \u2018Can I be with you for the day? What can I do to help? Put me to work.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Many celebrities rank among the thousands<\/a>\u00a0who have fled or lost their homes due to the devastating blaze.<\/p>\n
