In a new interview with\u00a0The Guardian<\/em><\/a>, the actor, 33, responded to the outlet’s suggestion that he must want to move on from the six-year relationship \u2014 which\u00a0ended<\/a>\u00a0in early 2023 \u2014 by revealing that he has, in fact, done just that.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s something for other people to do. We\u2019re talking about something that\u2019s a while ago now in my life,\u201d Alwyn told the outlet.<\/p>\n The Brutalist<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>star continued, \u201cSo that\u2019s for other people. That\u2019s what I feel.\u201d<\/p>\n Alwyn also recalled how everything in his life changed after his role in 2016\u2019s\u00a0Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk<\/em>. (He met and struck up his famously private relationship with Swift, 35, shortly after starring in the film.)<\/p>\n When asked whether he feared his relationship with the singer would overshadow his career, the actor said, \u201cI have tried just to focus on controlling what I can control.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd, right from the beginning, tried to focus on the things that are meaningful for me: friends, family, work, of course,\u201d Alwyn continued. \u201cSo noise outside of that, I think I\u2019ve done what lots of people who find themselves in the public eye do, which is just try and ignore it. If you don\u2019t, and if you let all of that other stuff in, and if it starts to affect you and your behavior, you\u2019re living from the outside in.
