The superstar spread holiday cheer during Wednesday\u2019s Halftime Show at the Christmas Day Texans-Ravens NFL game in her hometown of Houston, Texas, marking the first time Beyonc\u00e9 performed songs from her hit 2024 album \u201cCowboy Carter\u201d in front of a live audience.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 began her iconic performance on horseback, literally riding in while singing \u201c16 Carriages\u201d in what\u00a0appeared to be<\/a>\u00a0a pre-taped segment. After dismounting with classic cars arranged in the background, she began her cover of The Beatles\u2019 classic hit \u201cBlackbird,\u201d accompanied by country singers Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts, who she collaborated on the song with.<\/p>\n

Post Malone made a surprise cameo to perform their collaboration \u201cLevii\u2019s Jeans,\u201d following Bey\u2019s duet with country singer Shaboozey.<\/p>\n

Backed by Texas Southern University\u2019s 200-member Ocean of Soul Marching Band, Beyonc\u00e9 also performed \u201cYa Ya\u201d and was joined on the field by her daughter Blue Ivy, who danced next to her mother during the song \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 honored the hometown team by\u00a0including<\/a>\u00a0the Texans Cheerleaders in the performance, in addition to featuring significant figures in rodeo culture such as Bull-riding legend Myrtis Dightman, Jr. and Ja\u2019Dayia Kursh, the first Black Rodeo Queen in Arkansas, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cMerry Christmas, god bless y\u2019all,\u201d Beyonc\u00e9 said at the end of the set, as she was raised high above the field on a white platform.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 is no newcomer to major NFL-related events. The Grammy-winner headlined the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans and joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars on the field during the 2016 Super Bowl show.<\/p>\n

She also used an ad spot that aired during the 2024 Super Bowl to\u00a0announce<\/a>\u00a0\u201cCowboy Carter,\u201d the highly anticipated \u201cAct II\u201d follow up to her 2023 album \u201cRenaissance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCowboy Carter\u201d was released in March and has gone on to earn\u00a011 Grammy nods.<\/a><\/p>\n

Queen Bey\u00a0teased<\/a>\u00a0this week\u2019s performance on Tuesday with a cheeky video of herself stopping a rolling football with her sky-high heels while finger-picking a banjo along to her popular song \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video is made to appear as though it\u2019s buffering at one point \u2013 with a red spinning circle on Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s nose \u2013 poking fun at Netflix\u2019s previous lagging livestream issues that many called attention to during the slightly glitchy livestream of the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight. After the faux \u2018glitch,\u2019 Beyonc\u00e9 is heard giggling and winks to the camera.<\/p>\n

A representative for Netflix\u00a0previously told CNN<\/a>\u00a0that they made additional optimizations of their systems to improve the viewing quality and better handle the large-scale viewership that they anticipate the Christmas Day NFL games to draw.<\/p>\n

Netflix was the streaming host of both the Chiefs-Steelers game \u2013 which was played earlier in the day \u2013 and the Texans-Ravens game on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

Mariah Carey<\/a>, the so-called Queen of Christmas herself, also made a splashy appearance during Netflix\u2019s Christmas Day NFL games when she appeared in a pre-recorded video of her classic Christmas hit \u201cAll I Want For Christmas is You,\u201d which was streamed ahead of both games.<\/p>\n

Carey\u2019s performance marked the song\u2019s 30th anniversary and showcased the Grammy-winning singer performing on a rooftop in Los Angeles.
