NFL<\/a>\u00a0fans are in shock after learning of an interesting rule that allowed\u00a0Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>\u00a0kicker Cameron Dicker to accomplish an extremely rare feat on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Cameron Dicker and the Chargers hosted the AFC West rival\u00a0Denver Broncos<\/a>\u00a0in a pivotal \u201cThursday Night Football<\/a>\u201d clash with both teams vying for the conference\u2019s top wild card spot.<\/p>\n

At the end of the second quarter, Tremon Smith of the Broncos was flagged for fair catch interference. That moved the ball to Denver territory, allowing Dicker to kick a 57-yard free kick for three points to close out the half.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also the first successful NFL free kick field goal\u00a0since\u00a0<\/a>1976, by the way.<\/p>\n
