On the Dec. 12 episode of the Baskin and Phelps podcast, Ed revealed his strategy for selecting a gift for the \u201cShake It Off\u201d singer\u2019s birthday. Swift\u2014 who has been dating Ed\u2019s son, Travis, for over a year \u2014 turns 35 on Friday, Dec. 13.<\/p>\n

Ed explained that buying a gift for Taylor is similar to buying one for his sons, Travis and Jason: there\u2019s nothing they want that they don\u2019t already have. So, instead of focusing on the price tag, Ed believes the best gift is something that will tweak the strings of her heart.<\/p>\n
