Darwin was arrested for attempted strangulation and battery.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2024\/12\/17\/leighton-vander-esch-mom-dad-divorce\/?adid=social-tws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TMZ<\/a>, which cites court documents, Sandra filed for a split the following day.<\/p>\n<p>Darwin allegedly got rough with Sandra after they started an argument at a bar and put his hands around her throat\u00a0<em>\u201cfor around 10-15 seconds\u2026 pushing and squeezing.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s understood that he did not release her, and she had to free herself from his grasp on her own.
