Brazilian competitive diver Ingrid Oliveira is turning heads online this week.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old is in Paris, France, for the 2024 Olympic games, and her photos are causing a bit of a stir.<\/p>\n

Ingrid has been in the headlines before, grabbing them for different reasons during the Rio Games in 2016. The diver was accused of kicking synchronized partner Giovanna Pedroso from their room at the Olympic Village so she could engage in a risque marathon with a canoeist.<\/p>\n

Oliveira and Pedroso ended up finishing last in the women\u2019s 10-meter synchronized platform dive and eventually fell out. Local outlets described their efforts as \u201cpathetic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ingrid Oliveira broke her silence on the scandal in 2019, admitting she did engage in sexual activity with the canoeist, namely Pedro Goncalves, but denied she kicked her partner out or spent the whole night with Pedro.<\/p>\n

She also claimed it was not the night before their performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI took Pedro to my room but it wasn\u2019t the day before my dive as has been reported or the day before his competition,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0she told UOL Esporte while training for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (H\/T\u00a0Mirror UK<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t spend the night with me and I didn\u2019t banish anyone from the room.<\/em><\/p>\n

She revealed that she started speaking to Goncalves on social media in 2015 before meeting him in person at the Rio Olympics.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s good-looking and it\u2019s not just me who thought that,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>she added.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople meet once, twice. Before the opening ceremony I talked to Giovanna who I was sharing a room with and said I was going to take him there.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cShe let me; it wasn\u2019t something only I did, she and a lot of others also did the same thing in several competitions.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI never imagined the fallout it would cause.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Oliveira is considered to be one of the best divers in Brazilian history. She has two medals from the Pan American Games (silver and bronze) and another two from the South American Games (gold and bronze).<\/p>\n
