The North Carolina Tar Heels reportedly have to honor a significant request from\u00a0Bill Belichick<\/a>\u00a0if he\u2019s to accept their offer to become their next head coach.<\/p>\n North Carolina recently interviewed Bill Belichick for its head coaching vacancy. The team fired legendary head coach Mack Brown last week, and Freddie Kitchens was named the interim head coach for their upcoming bowl game.<\/p>\n If UNC is set on hiring the former Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots HC, however, they\u2019ll have to accept his condition.<\/p>\n According to a report from Ollie Connolly of\u00a0The Guardian<\/em>, Bill Belichick\u00a0is seeking<\/a>\u00a0\u201ca guarantee\u201d from the school that his son, Stephen, will succeed him as the Tar Heels\u2019 head coach.<\/p>\n Connolly adds that the school \u201cis open\u201d to agreeing on that request, and that Belichick would look to bring in\u00a0Josh McDaniels<\/a>, brother Ben McDaniels and Matt Patricia on his staff. That said, Belichick\u2019s desire is to go back to the NFL, per Connolly.<\/p>\n
