The\u00a0New York Jets<\/a>\u00a0made another notable roster move following their frustrating loss to the\u00a0Seattle Seahawks<\/a>\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the New York Jets\u00a0announced\u00a0<\/a>that they have released running back Israel Abanikanda. In a corresponding move, they have promoted fellow RB Kene Nwangwu to the active roster from the practice squad.<\/p>\n

After a stellar career at Pittsburgh, Abanikanda was drafted in the fifth round (143rd overall) by the Jets in 2023. He appeared in six games last season, finishing with 70 rushing yards, seven receptions and 43 yards.<\/p>\n
