There\u2019s a good chance that\u00a0Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>\u00a0has played his final snap for the 2024 season, according to ESPN\u2019s\u00a0Adam Schefter<\/a>.<\/p>\n Trevor Lawrence<\/a>\u00a0suffered a concussion after taking a vicious hit to the head from Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair in the second quarter of Sunday\u2019s game. Al-Shaair was ejected for the careless hit on Lawrence, who had given himself up by sliding toward the first down marker.<\/p>\n Lawrence had to be carted off the field and did not return. Last night, the fourth-year signal-caller revealed on X\/Twitter that he\u2019s doing fine, but it sounds like he may not return to the field this season.<\/p>\n Speaking on the latest edition of \u201cThe\u00a0Pat McAfee<\/a>\u00a0Show,\u201d Schefter\u00a0reports that it\u2019d be a surprise<\/a>\u00a0if Trevor Lawrence returned to the field this season, citing his concussion and shoulder injury:<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re 2-10. He\u2019s been dealing with a left shoulder injury. He\u2019s now got the concussion. I would say, frankly, in my opinion, I\u2019d be surprised if we see Trevor Lawrence play again this season. Like, why are we putting him out there? To me, it\u2019s time to rest him up and start getting him ready for 2025. He was dealing with a shoulder injury that he was playing through that was hard enough to be out there now you get this massive blow to his head where he has to be carted off.<\/p>\n Why are we going to put him back out there at 2-10? Like, what are we doing? Yeah, he\u2019s extraordinarily tough, and he plays through everything but somebody needs to tell him in his best interest: \u2018You shouldn\u2019t be playing again this season.\u2019\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
