Wilson turned to shows like\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The Voice<\/em>\u00a0while trying to make a name for herself.<\/strong>\u00a0She\u00a0auditioned for\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0seven times<\/a>\u00a0and never made it past the first round.<\/p>\n

It was the same\u00a0with\u00a0The Voice<\/em>. As Wilson revealed in\u00a0an interview with ET<\/a>, she also auditioned for\u00a0The Voice<\/em>\u00a0seven times and received\u00a0seven rejections.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t even make it to the part\u2026where they turn the chairs around<\/em>,\u201d she said with a laugh. \u201cBut hey, it just kind of lit a fire under me, and I said, \u2018Ya gotta keep on going<\/em>.’\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Wilson later returned to\u00a0The Voice<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0perform during the Season 25 finale.<\/a>\u00a0That\u2019s when Reba McEntire surprised her with the invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry.<\/strong><\/p>\n
