The team was 9-0 before suffering their first loss of the 2024 NFL season at the hands of Buffalo Bills, yet they remain atop the league.<\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs also have two of the best players in the NFL, and some would argue that their quarterback is the best in the league.\u00a0<a class=\"mai-link-injected\" href=\"https:\/\/www.totalprosports.com\/tag\/travis-kelce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Travis Kelce<\/a>\u00a0may be struggling a little this season, but he is still considered the best in the NFL, and Patrick Mahomes is Patrick Mahomes.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, it\u2019s not expected that these two would be the target of organized crime. However, the NFL released a statement saying that Kelce and Mahomes\u2019 home burglaries reported earlier this month may be connected.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tom Pelissero on X, \u201cThe NFL issued a security alert Wednesday about organized and skilled criminals,\u201d adding that the crimes targeting Chiefs\u2019 stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce may be related.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The NFL issued a security alert Wednesday about organized and skilled criminals &#8212; believed to be tied to a South American crime syndicate &#8212; who are targeting pro athletes, including recent burglaries at the homes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Fr2QA7kdf8\">https:\/\/t.co\/Fr2QA7kdf8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TomPelissero\/status\/1859642504670478398?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 21, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-kansas-city-chiefs-star-s-burglaries-may-be-connected-to-a-crime-syndicate\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 Star\u2019s Burglaries May Be Connected To A Crime Syndicate<\/h2>\n<p>Pelissero added that the crimes are \u201cbelieved to be tied to a South American crime syndicate\u201d and that they \u201care targeting pro athletes.\u201d While nothing has been confirmed, this could be a scary time for some superstar athletes.<\/p>\n<p>In the article he posted to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/nfl-issues-security-alert-to-teams-regarding-recent-home-burglaries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NFL.com<\/a>, Pelissero said that the \u201cFBI is investigating the crime wave as international organized crime,\u201d and it\u2019s unclear whether the crime syndicate has determined a new target yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a transnational crime ring, and over the last three weeks, they\u2019ve focused on\u00a0<a class=\"mai-link-injected\" href=\"https:\/\/www.totalprosports.com\/nba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBA<\/a>\u00a0and NFL players, and it\u2019s all over the country,\u201d an inside source told Pelissero.
