Penn State Police and Public Safety are investigating the incident between Jason Kelce and an unidentified fan at State College and the \u201cprocess is ongoing,\u201d a university spokesperson confirmed to The Post in an email.<\/p>\n

Kelce was seen in a now-viral video smashing the phone<\/a>\u00a0of a young man who had been walking behind the former NFL lineman and heckling him on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The fan used a homophobic slur when taunting Kelce about his brother, Travis and girlfriend Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0university police\u2019s daily crime log<\/a>\u00a0for that day listed an incident where an \u201cofficer observed a visitor damaging personal property\u201d at Curtin Road and Commuter Drive, which is right near Beaver Stadium.<\/p>\n

Several videos that made their way to social media showed Jason Kelce, who had been in State College on Penn State\u2019s campus to take part in ESPN\u2019s \u201cCollege Gameday,\u201d walking near Beaver Stadium while fans walked nearby shouting his name and trying to get high fives.<\/p>\n

Things turned when one fan shouted at Kelce, \u201cHey Kelce how does it feel that your brother is a f\u2014\u2013t for dating Taylor Swift?\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Eagle quickly did an about-face and confronted the individual and grabbed his phone, before smashing it to the ground.<\/p>\n

The unidentified individual then pushed Kelce as he went to pick it up and the man, who was wearing a Penn State sweatshirt, could be heard demanding, \u201cgive me my phone, Kelce.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when Kelce shot back, \u201cwho\u2019s the f\u2014-t now?\u201d several times before finally walking away from the incident.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>The crime log listed the possible offenses as criminal mischief and disorderly conduct for the incident.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear if someone had reported the altercation to university police.<\/p>\n

ESPN declined to comment when reached by The Post on Monday night.<\/p>\n

Kelce did address the situation\u00a0<\/a>at the top of ESPN\u2019s \u201cMonday Night Countdown\u201d ahead of the Buccaneers-Chiefs game.<\/p>\n

A contrite Kelce said that he was \u201cnot happy with anything that took place\u201d on Saturday and added that \u201cI\u2019m not proud of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think, the bottom line is, I try to live my life by the Golden Rule,\u201d he said on air Monday night. \u201cIt\u2019s what I\u2019ve always been taught. I try to treat people with common decency and respect, and I\u2019m going to keep doing that moving forward even though I fell short this week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce did appear to receive plenty of support though from fans and even Penn State football coach James Franklin.<\/p>\n

During his Monday news conference, Franklin seemed to applaud the \u201cconsequence\u201d that the fan faced for his actions toward Kelce.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love that that person, there was a consequence to his action,\u201d Franklin said. \u201cCan it go too far sometimes and we talk about the passion and all those things being great? Yes. But that also doesn\u2019t excuse bad behavior at times. It comes with the territory, but that doesn\u2019t make it right.\u201d<\/p>\n
