Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0broke his silence over his\u00a0viral phone swatting incident<\/a>\u00a0and apologized for his misconduct.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not happy with anything that took place. I\u2019m not proud of it,\u201d Kelce, 36, said during the Monday, November 4, episode of ESPN\u2019s\u00a0Monday Night Countdown<\/em>\u00a0ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. \u201cWithin a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate and I don\u2019t think that\u2019s a productive thing. I don\u2019t think it leads to discourse.\u201d<\/p>\n

The retired NFL player continued, \u201cIn that moment I fell down to a level that I shouldn\u2019t have. Bottom line is, I try to live my life by the golden rules. That\u2019s what I\u2019ve always been taught. I try to treat people with decency and respect. I\u2019m going to keep doing that moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce concluded by saying, \u201cWe got a game to focus on. A matchup. I don\u2019t think this is the platform to necessarily go into more detail.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason made headlines on Saturday, November 2, when he\u00a0hurled a heckler\u2019s smartphone<\/a>\u00a0after the person made an offensive remark about his brother,\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>, and girlfriend\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the clip, Jason was confronted by a person asking, \u201cHow does it feel that your brother is a f\u2014 f\u2014 for dating Taylor Swift?\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason, who was outside Penn State University\u2019s Beaver Stadium for an appearance on ESPN\u2019s\u00a0College GameDay<\/em>, retaliated by grabbing the guy\u2019s phone and throwing it down on the ground.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>Footage later surfaced of Jason\u00a0verbally responding<\/a>\u00a0to the altercation by saying, \u201cWho\u2019s the f\u2014 f\u2014 now?\u201d three times.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia radio host\u00a0Jon Marks<\/strong>\u00a0slammed Jason\u2019s behavior<\/a>\u00a0via X on Saturday, writing, \u201cKelce has to realize that his profile is bigger than it ever was as a player.\u201d<\/p>\n

The PHLY Sports host explained why he believed that\u00a0Jason throwing the phone was out of line. \u201cHe\u2019s making big $$$ across multile [sic] platforms and his brother might marry the biggest pop star ever. He can\u2019t be spiking people\u2019s phones. He needs security to deal with this s\u2014,\u201d Marks added.<\/p>\n

While Jason received some backlash for escalating the situation, many social media fans supported the former\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles player<\/a>\u00a0for defending his brother, 35, and Swift, 34.<\/p>\n

Travis and Swift have not publicly commented on the altercation.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em>\u00a0confirmed on Monday that Penn State University Police are\u00a0looking into the incident further<\/a>. \u201cUniversity Police and Public Safety is the investigating agency for this incident and the process is ongoing,\u201d PSU Police told\u00a0Us<\/em>\u00a0in a statement.<\/p>\n

Since Travis began dating Swift in summer 2023, Jason has been\u00a0publicly supportive<\/a>\u00a0of their relationship. Last month, Jason and his wife,\u00a0Kylie Kelce<\/strong>, flew to Miami on October 18 to cheer on Swift during one of her\u00a0Eras Tour<\/em>\u00a0stops<\/a>\u00a0while Travis was stuck playing a game for the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had all the FOMO in the world with the entire family and a lot of our friends being there,\u201d Travis revealed during the October 23, episode of\u00a0the brothers\u2019 \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI had a bunch of friends that were also down by the stage that had been to a few shows overseas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason, who previously attended two London Eras Tour shows, noted that it was \u201cincredible\u201d seeing Swift on home soil.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think part of it\u2019s like, I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s the fact that we\u2019re back in the U.S. \u2014 because I think the London crowd was incredible \u2014 but the rain and everything,\u201d Jason explained. \u201cDude, it was, like, on another level.\u201d<\/p>\n
