After Taylor Swift\u2019s most recent tour, Ryan Reynolds was ecstatic.<\/p>\n
So much so that after seeing her longtime best friend perform in New Orleans with Blake Lively, the Deadpool actor wrote his own review of the Eras Tour.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I\u2019m 95 yrs old and my wife and kids wheel me outside and into the sun so I can drink a sandwich, I\u2019ll still be talking about seeing this show in New Orleans,\u201d the 48-year-old wrote on Instagram Oct. 31. \u201cNot just because it\u2019s one of the best things I\u2019ve seen\/heard\/felt. And not only because you see the staggering and positive economic impact this tour has on small businesses all over NOLA \u2014 a town that\u2019s been thru so much for so long.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cThe main reason I\u2019ll never forget this show is because it brings people together in so many ways. And in 2024, (where that feeling is scarce as hell) it\u2019s a special and incredibly rare thing.\u201d<\/p>\n The Free Guy actor quipped that the Eras Tour was like \u201cSuper Bowl or Mardi Gras had a baby with music,\u201d before gushing over Taylor\u2019s talent.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t understand the unimaginable work, care, talent and discipline @taylorswift generates to create an experience like this because I\u2019m not a scientist,\u201d he wrote. \u201cIt\u2019s an athletic event and a collective cultural phenomenon. It\u2019s gigantic but intimate.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Ryan did see just one downside.<\/p>\n \u201cThe only bummer is she can\u2019t be in the audience to experience what everyone else sees and feels,\u201d he noted. \u201cTo watch herself up there is something I wish she could know. But that isn\u2019t physically possible and even if it were, you can\u2019t just get tickets last minute.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to the sincere compliment, he posted a photo of himself and Blake during the show, which included a cute selfie in the mirror with his seven-year wife.<\/p>\n Ryan and Blake have been traveling with Taylor since the start of her historic tour in early 2023, going to a number of her gigs. Their 9-year-old eldest daughter, James, joined them for the New Orleans performance, demonstrating that they have even engaged their children.<\/p>\n James attended the \u201cKarma\u201d singer\u2019s concert in Madrid back in May with her parents and sisters, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5. Additionally, Taylor, who is the godmother of Blake and Ryan\u2019s girls as well as their 19-month-old boy Olin, even acknowledged the three of them.<\/p>\n \u201cI have to say that on Folklore,\u201d she announced at the show, \u201csome of my favorite characters are named James, Inez and Betty.\u201d<\/p>\n And that album holds a special place in Ryan\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n \u201cCome on, man,\u201d Ryan told BFF Hugh Jackman after admitting that \u201cFolklore\u201d is his favorite of Taylor\u2019s songs during an interview with Variety in July, \u201cI\u2019m in my folklore and evermore era.\u201d<\/p>\n Billy Joel<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cOur family attended the Taylor Swift concert at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami where Billy Joel\/Elton John\u2019s \u2018Face to Face\u2019 concert previously held the seating record,\u201d he wrote on Instagram. \u201cTaylor\u2019s second concert at Hard Rock Miami set a new record and ushered in a new era at Hard Rock Stadium. We were so happy to be a part of this record-breaking concert! Plus, we got to celebrate with her mama. Celebrating someone\u2019s success does not negate your own.
