Baseball fans\u2014no matter their allegiance\u2014like to say that every day in baseball you can see something you’ve never seen before.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, that mantra came true on the biggest of stages.<\/p>\n

In the bottom of the first inning of Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday,\u00a0New York Yankees<\/a>\u00a0second baseman Gleyber Torres lofted a foul pop-up to left field.\u00a0Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>\u00a0right fielder Mookie Betts went to make the catch\u2014only to\u00a0find<\/a>\u00a0two Yankees fans attempting to jar the ball of of his hands.<\/p>\n

The unreal sequence\u2014among the most brazen fan-interference cases in baseball history\u2014drew commentary across the baseball world.<\/p>\n

The fact that these two Yankee fans acted like they didn\u2019t do anything wrong\u2026 one held Mookie\u2019s glove.. other one grabs Mookie\u2019s hand and won\u2019t let go. If this was done in Philly, social media would\u2019ve melted down. pic.twitter.com\/1mYTLHGFgt<\/a><\/p>\n
