The retired NFL great comes clean about what he was really doing.<\/p>\n

Jason Kelce is wide awake when it comes to the rumor that he fell asleep while taking in\u00a0Taylor Swift\u2019s recent \u201cEras Tour\u201d concert at Miami\u2019s Hard Rock Stadium<\/a>\u00a0on Oct. 18.<\/p>\n

Kelce turned out to see brother Travis\u2019\u00a0girlfriend<\/a>, alongside their mother, Donna, his wife, Kylie, and\u00a0their kids<\/a>, but the focus quickly centered on him when a photo on X appeared to capture Jason\u00a0catching some\u00a0<\/a>z’<\/a>s<\/a>\u00a0in his seat, while everyone else was standing on their feet.<\/p>\n

\u201cKylie is holding (daughter) Elliotte,\u201d Jason Kelce said on the Oct. 23 episode of his\u00a0\u201cNew Heights\u201d<\/a>\u00a0podcast that he hosts with his brother.<\/p>\n

\u201cEllie was just with me. We were dancing and I was sitting down, so I\u2019m on the same level with her and I\u2019m trying not to \u2014 we\u2019re out here in the middle of the open right here. We brought a bunch of people to the show because a bunch of people had been asking us, \u2018Hey, when are you going to the Taylor Swift shows?\u2019 And Mom went for the first time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce, who said “the amount of energy was insane” at the show, quickly discovered that he was easy to spot and that he got into the spirit of the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe go out there and I realize I\u2019m in the middle of the open,\u201d he said. \u201cIt isn\u2019t like a box that I can close. … I feel like I\u2019m standing, I\u2019m holding Ellie, I feel like kind of in a fish bowl. Everybody\u2019s staring at me.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I just sit down. I\u2019m dancing with Ellie. Ellie goes over to Kylie. And then I\u2019m just sitting here, and I\u2019m just feeling it, and I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh!\u2019 I\u2019m tapping my thigh and I\u2019m just in the moment, listening to the song. And, then, all of a sudden, I go on Twitter, and I see this f—— picture. And I\u2019m like, \u2018What the f—?\u2019 I\u2019m not even sleeping, and I can prove it to you. There\u2019s evidence in this photo that I\u2019m not sleeping.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce then added that the caption for the photo did not mention he was sleeping and then explained how he can prove he was awake by zooming in on his right hand.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy hand is hovering. You can\u2019t sleep with your hand hovering above your knee,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s impossible, (without) major pain. I can\u2019t sleep with my eyes open, much less my hand hovering. That\u2019s because I\u2019m slapping my legs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is one of my favorite parts about the show, \u2018cause the mist of the rain had just started to get into my face. Elliotte was with Mom so I\u2019m like, OK, I\u2019m just sitting here and tapping my leg and I\u2019m just in the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Travis wasn\u2019t at the show to catch the controversial snooze \u2014 if that\u2019s even what it was \u2014 which disappointed him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had all the FOMO in the world, with the entire family and a lot of our friends being there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
