Shortly after they left, police were called to a reported shooting in the area and ultimately found Roberts, who was hit in the back of his head and his left arm, according to Denver\u2019s NBC affiliate.<\/p>\n
Nobody was seriously hurt in the shooting and Roberts was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital before being released, according to a team statement. The Broncos have declined any further comment.<\/p>\n
Police have since discovered the victims\u2019 abandoned Ford Bronco, which was left riddled with bullet holes along a Denver Interstate. It\u2019s unclear if the vehicle belonged to Roberts and if he was driving at the time of the shooting. Police say the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear.<\/p>\n
Two men have been arrested in the case, Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza, both of whom are being held \u2018for investigation of\u2019 attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault, according to a police statement.<\/p>\n
