Former Middle Tennesee State punter Kyle Ulbrich is going viral online this Tuesday after camping outside of the\u00a0Miami Dolphins<\/a>\u00a0practice facility asking for a job.<\/p>\n

Ulbrich brought some material to back him up, including placards, stats, and links to his film.<\/p>\n

The punter, who hails from Mentor, Ohio, started for the MTSU Blue Raiders for four years after redshirting his first year.<\/p>\n

He would go on to set a school record in his senior campaign, averaging 47.1 yards per punt, leading conference USA with 31 punts over 50 yards. His average topped C-Usa and was second in the country.<\/p>\n

The player also became a field goal ball holder during his redshirt junior season and kept the job until he left college, giving himself another reason to be out on the field for key moments.<\/p>\n

Kyle Ulbrich Has Tried Everything<\/h2>\n

Despite his impressive spell at MTSU, Ulbrich could not land a job in the pros after his final season in 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried the route all specialists take, and that\u2019s to attend every free agent Combine from every kicking guru,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>he told\u00a0profootballnetwork.com<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cThe fianc\u00e9e and I decided this would be my last year trying to make a push at any next-level league.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Ulbrich says he spoke with friends in the\u00a0NFL<\/a>, with one telling him he needed to try a unique strategy as many players tried what he tried to get a shot in the pros.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe joked about the idea of camping [out at training camp] amongst my friend group, and the more we talked, the better it sounded,\u201d he explained. \u201cThe fianc\u00e9e gave me her support and helped me make these signs! Next thing I know, I\u2019m driving up this morning at 2 a.m. and packing a pillow and blanket to sleep in my car.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He camped out of the Dolphins facility, taking to X\/Twitter to share photos of himself campaigning for a job.<\/p>\n
