Even though it\u2019s been five weeks since his last NFL star, there\u2019s reportedly considerable interest in\u00a0Carolina Panthers<\/a>\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Bryce Young<\/a>\u00a0as the Nov. 5 trade deadline inches closer.<\/p>\n Bryce Young was benched in favor of Andy Dalton after the Panthers opened their season with back-to-back blowout losses. The first overall pick of 2023 also saw limited action in garbage time against the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders in Weeks 5 and 7, respectively.<\/p>\n Carolina head coach Dave Canales already confirmed that Dalton remains the team\u2019s starter after Sunday\u2019s 40-7 road loss to Washington. Based on a new report, it appears that Young will eventually get the fresh start he sorely needs.<\/p>\n Speaking on the latest edition of \u201cScoop City\u201d, The Athletic\u2019s Dianna Russini reports that\u00a0teams contacted<\/a>\u00a0the Panthers about Bryce Young\u2019s availability after he was benched for Dalton.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, I think there\u2019s a lot of coaches and GMS out there kinda licking their chops, going \u2018Hmm, maybe we can do something with him,\u201d Russini said. \u201cThe Panthers weren\u2019t the only team that had Bryce Young as No. 1 (in the 2023\u00a0NFL Draft<\/a>).\u201d<\/p>\n
