Kansas City Chiefs<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0kicker\u00a0Harrison Butker<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has ignited conversations both on and off the field after launching a\u00a0political action committee (PAC)<\/strong>\u00a0aimed at promoting\u00a0“traditional values.”<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0The\u00a0Upright PAC<\/strong>, announced during the Chiefs’ bye week, encourages Christians to vote in favor of conservative ideals. While some have raised questions about the mix of sports and politics,\u00a0Chiefs owner\u00a0Clark Hunt<\/a><\/strong>made it clear that he supports Butker’s decision to use his platform for personal beliefs.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs, who are fresh off another\u00a0Super Bowl victory<\/strong>, have always been a team where players are encouraged to take stands on social issues. Hunt spoke openly about this approach, saying,\u00a0“I talk to the players every year about using their platform to make a difference.<\/em>” This year,\u00a0Butker’s Upright PAC<\/strong>\u00a0became a focal point, particularly because of its collaboration with prominent political figures like\u00a0Missouri Republican Sen.
