Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, posted a nostalgic photo before he tragically died.<\/p>\n

Police have confirmed that the 31-year-old star was found dead in Buenos Aires, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Liam\u2019s final Instagram post came just weeks before his untimely death, where he shared an image with his ex-bandmates as a nod to Morgan Spurlock, the renowned American documentary filmmaker, writer, and television producer.<\/p>\n

The touching photograph showed Liam standing with Morgan, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. His caption read: \u201cRest in peace Morgan Spurlock it was a pleasure working with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Devastated fans quickly filled the post with messages of mourning after learning of his sudden demise.<\/p>\n

One heartbroken fan said: \u201cPlease don\u2019t tell me he passed away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cTell me it\u2019s not true.\u201d<\/p>\n

A further lamented with a simple: \u201cRIP Liam.\u201d<\/p>\n

Payne skyrocketed to fame with One Direction, formed during their stint on the X Factor.<\/p>\n

He first auditioned for the ITV competition in 2008 but gained success with a second shot at the contest in 2010, when he joined forces with Niall, Harry, Louis, and Zayn to form one of the most successful boy bands in music history.<\/p>\n

He was aged just 16 when he was thrust into the limelight.<\/p>\n

Payne was on holiday in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. La Nacion revealed that the 31-year-old fell to his death at a hotel in the posh district of Palermo.<\/p>\n

A body was reportedly discovered in an internal courtyard of the hotel.<\/p>\n

A local ambulance manager relayed to TN: \u201cAt 5.04pm through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel.\u201d<\/p>\n

At 5.11pm a team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation.\u201d<\/p>\n
