Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0kicker Harrison Butker recently endorsed Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

That wasn\u2019t all he did.<\/p>\n

Butker got candid about the reaction to his previous controversial comments on women in the workforce.<\/p>\n

Last Thursday, Harrison Butker\u00a0spoke with<\/a>\u00a0Fox News after announcing his endorsement of Republican Josh Hawley when he was asked by Laura Ingraham about the reaction to his May commencement speech.<\/p>\n

Back then, he talked about \u201cdiabolical lies told to women\u201d about working rather than becoming homemakers.<\/p>\n

Butker made it clear that it was \u201cbeautiful\u201d for women to step aside from their careers and raise children in the home.<\/p>\n

Harrison Butker expanded on his comments:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m definitely saddened [some people] took it in a poor manner,\u201d Butker, who appeared in the interview alongside Hawley, told Ingraham. \u201cI was talking to a specific crowd that I think was able to understand what I was trying to say.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cBut I was trying to speak life for so many women that have dedicated their life to being the homemaker, being the one that raises the children,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd it\u2019s a beautiful role, but it\u2019s not a role that should be diminished.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The star kicker went on to say that it \u201cmaybe\u201d was \u201ccountercultural to speak those values,\u201d but noted that it was something he watched his mother do inside his home.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s nothing shameful if you are a woman and you want to spend time with your family and raise your children, so it\u2019s not putting down anyone who maybe wants to go get a great education and have a career,\u201d he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s more talking about how beautiful it is for women to maybe just step aside and prioritize their family and spend time with their children and raise their family. And that\u2019s what I was just trying to speak love about,\u201d Harrison Butker added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker Got Blasted For Previous Comments About Women<\/h2>\n

Harrison Butker recently spoke out about his controversial commencement speech.<\/p>\n

During his speech at Benedictine College\u2019s graduation in Atchison, Kansas, in May, Butker found himself the target of much anger when he went after LGBTQIA+ rights, slammed IVF as a family planning method, and asserted that there are \u201cdiabolical lies told to women\u201d about working outside of the home.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment,\u201d he said at the time. \u201cI want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cSome of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world,\u201d Butker continued.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother,\u201d he added.<\/em><\/p>\n

The comments sparked backlash from many, including Katy Perry, Flavor Flav, and Maria Shriver.<\/p>\n
