Parker even went on to compare Mahomes with the New York Giants\u00a0<strong>Daniel Jones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Mahomes threw for 331 yards against the Saints, but none of them connected for a touchdown. This is where Rob Parker singles out Mahomes.<\/p>\n<p><em>I\u2019m not talking about lifetime achievements or anything like that. When I look at Patrick Mahomes and his play, I think of Daniel Jones with a great defense. That\u2019s what Patrick Mahomes has turned into. I know people don\u2019t want to believe it and say, \u2018Oh Rob, you\u2019re being overly dramatic or dissing Patrick Mahomes.\u2019 I\u2019m not talking about legacy and career<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The veteran\u00a0<em>FOX Radio<\/em>\u00a0contributor indicated that the 3x Super Bowl winner is a shell of his former self and is currently playing at a\u00a0similar level to Giants\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/firstsportz.com\/tag\/daniel-jones\/\">Daniel Jones<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">\n<h2 id=\"h-rob-parker-provides-proof-for-comparing-patrick-mahomes-with-daniel-jones\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rob Parker provides proof for comparing Patrick Mahomes with Daniel Jones<\/h2>\n<p>To prove his point, Parker compared their statistics. Jones has thrown 1,138 yards, 6 touchdowns, and three picks this season. Mahomes can have an average season for his high<\/p>\n<p>standards but still have enough options available for him to go on and win games.<\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs\u2019 offense is currently the 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0best in terms of\u00a0all-purpose yards gained with 354.6 and 12 touchdowns. Despite the injuries to\u00a0<strong>Isiah Pacheco<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Clyde Edwards-Helaire<\/strong>, the Chiefs have the 15<sup>th<\/sup>-best run game thanks to new additions,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/firstsportz.com\/tag\/kareem-hunt\/\">Kareem Hunt<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Samaje Perine,<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Carson Steele<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the biggest area that Reid needs his team to prove is the red zone conversion. The Chiefs are third from the\u00a0bottom, completing just 38.9% of their chances in the final third.<\/p>\n<p>This only proves the lack of deep endzone plays from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/firstsportz.com\/tag\/patrick-mahomes\/\">Patrick Mahomes<\/a>\u00a0or perhaps the lack of faith in his receivers to catch the deep passes. That\u2019s why Reid is running the ball more often.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, they\u2019re the only unbeaten team in the AFC and are still finding ways to win games despite holes in the offense.
