It was also reported that Kansas City feared an ACL tear, which would have ended his season.<\/p>\n<p>At 7:51 p.m. EST, Schefter\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/1843424050779185264?t=nAxKCFu8aV3hzysO3bDR1A&amp;s=19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/1843424050779185264?t=nAxKCFu8aV3hzysO3bDR1A&amp;s=19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">that doctors are optimistic<\/a>\u00a0that Rice\u2019s injury isn\u2019t knee-related. Schefter added that Rice would undergo further evaluation on Tuesday, and that\u00a0the recovery time may be \u201cmuch shorter\u201d than previously believed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">After consulting today with doctors, there\u2019s \u201ca lot of optimism\u201d that standout WR Rashee Rice didn\u2019t suffer a knee injury as significant as first believed, per source.
